'Crime in Progress': Former Trump Official Aims to Expose Epstein 'Coverup'

As the Senate Judiciary Committee prepares to vote on Acting Attorney Todd Blanche’s confirmation this week, Miles Taylor — who was chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security during President Donald Trump’s first term — unveiled the Epstein Bookmobile just blocks away from Capitol Hill. The bookmobile contains 3.5 million Epstein documents released by the Department of Justice, which have been printed into hardcover volumes. Taylor aims to have the exhibit displayed in every corner of the United States.

The exhibit features a prominent photo of both Trump and Epstein together on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The Epstein Bookmobile is the result of a collaboration between Taylor’s organization DEFIANCE.org, Reckoning Action and the Save America Movement. The three organizations are working in partnership with a team of survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.

The three groups and the survivors say their goal is to bring justice to the victims and their families, and to sink Todd Blanche’s confirmation as Attorney General. Save America Movement director Mary Corcoran said the bus is designed to be an “analog experience” to help audiences “understand the enormity and monstrosity” of the crimes detailed in the files.

“This is not a coverup that is over,” Miles Taylor told Raw America. “This is a crime in progress. We are going to expose it, even if it takes months or years. Whether Blanche gets confirmed or not, this thing is hitting the road. They cannot silence us.”

The brother and sister-in-law of Virginia Roberts Giuffre — whose testimony resulted in the arrest of former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — were both present in support of the Epstein Bookmobile’s launch, along with a network of survivors of Epstein’s abuse. Survivors pinned the blame squarely on Blanche for the lack of accountability for Epstein’s co-conspirators.

“[Blanche] has led the DOJ to protect the perpetrators with absolute immunity,” Epstein survivor Dani Bensky said. “I would hope that the quest to protect the survivors is more important than hatred for the [Democratic] Party.”

Blanche, who was Donald Trump’s personal criminal defense attorney before becoming acting attorney general, has continued to say that there are “no leads” that would prompt a new investigation into Epstein’s accomplices. However, survivors say the names mentioned in the more than 3.5 million publicly released files should provide a sufficient place to start.

Blanche’s nomination must first survive a vote by the Judiciary Committee before it moves to the full Senate. Committee members John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) have both said on the record that they would oppose advancing Blanche’s confirmation unless he agrees to sign a document officially ending Trump’s planned $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded slush fund for MAGA loyalists and January 6 rioters. Both senators pointed out that despite Blanche testifying under oath that the slush fund is dead, there’s still nothing official on paper.

“They know what they have to do,” Cornyn wrote Tuesday on his official X account, stressing there was still “no deal” on Blanche’s confirmation.

Even if Blanche’s confirmation advances to the full Senate, his confirmation isn’t assured. Republicans only have a 53-seat majority, which is effectively now just 52 seats given 84 year-old Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-Ky.) lengthy ongoing absence. This means Republicans can only afford two defections if they hope to confirm Blanche with Vice President JD Vance casting the tie-breaking vote. That could be a difficult task if there’s significant opposition from moderates like Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska), Republicans in tight reelection races like Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and lame-duck Republicans who may hold a grudge against Trump for endorsing their primary opponents, like Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.)
