But could’nt he declare a War situation ( after all he believes he is at war with Iran ) and therefore cancel the mid-terms?

Why waste energy on “what if”? This was a very positive read today and I want to thank you, John. We are ready to take down MAGA once and fit all!!!

A likely desperate maneuver. Which, quite the opposite of giving US pause, should spur US to greater heights of indignation and resolve NOT COW US into acquiescence.

The premise before US is the example of Hungary and Hungarians, THEY overcame THEY WERE NOT OF FAINT HEART ❤️…and NEITHER ARE WE 🦾🦾🦾

Vote early, vote often ✊✊✊

Sorry if I came on too strong. But, at this point we’re all a bit disoriented and apprehensive over here.

We need to stay the course nonetheless. Just a little impatient with some of my fellow citizens not getting just how important to the FREE WORLD protecting DEMOCRACY is.

TY, in advance, for your patience and support.

I didn’t think that : all my American friends are Democrats, thank goodness,

Wish I could vote : sadly I am in the UK

I thought they weren't calling illegal Iran attack a war because then they don't count our soldiers who have died there. Who can stay on top of the deliberate horrific chaos they create every minute of every day? Maybe that changes on 11/2 and they call it a war on 11/3?

Congress didn’t declare we are at war.

Excellent point. The only at war is the Lord Felonious, the First, and that war is with himself!

Actually, the federal government can declare an emergency but that does NOT cancel elections. So, thankfully, no, they can’t. But we still need to be brave enough to show up no matter what crap they try to pull.

How many different wars has this country been in, AND still had voting. All this bloated blimp wants is to control the election, to keep his sorry ass out of jail, and to loot the country.

We have had enough of Trump and this administration.

They have gotten rich off the

Backs of hard working Americans.

They

Have killed innocent people and locked up people that contributed to our economy who were only working to provide a better life for their families.

Our gas prices are the highest we have ever had and our food prices and quoting Trump from a rally “he said he doesn't CARE!!!”

There you have it!!!

It's a big con job. We're not falling for this administration’s “Just wait. Be patient. We're going to make America great again.” It's a lie while the constant trickle of money flows to the Epstein class. We're coming for them and they will not win. 🫵👁️👁️💪🇺🇸🗽🇺🇸

Regardless of what you hear or read concerning Republicans not showing up, you need to vote like there is no tomorrow. Because that is what is at stake.

Even if you believe Trump will lie, cheat and steal his way to remaining in power, you need to drown him in sheer volume of votes for Dems.

Nobody knows what comes next. I always expect the worst from Trump, as should we all, but the record needs to show overwhelmingly that democracy has spoken loud and clear. That's the first step. What the next steps are to remove this parasite from power remains to be seen, but whatever it requires, the world must rise to the occasion.

So what happened to Orban because the same thing is going to happen to these corrupt idiots.

What if We all show up at the polls, even if we’ve already voted to protect those who are voting that day, especially in states where we are concerned?  Would that be helpful? Should we encourage it?

What if a church nearby lends us space, so we can hand out bottles of water, snacks, coats, umbrellas or scarves so people can pick them up before they have to wait in long, long lines to vote.

How is it known about which party voted how, and what party they belong to? I thought ballots were secret. Or is it these damnable exit polls where anybody can lie. I still support complete media blackouts on election day, early or mail voting. All it does is to destroy the secrecy, and enables chicanery for the citizen. What about our two offshore states that are hours behind the west coast? Aren't they supposed to have the same voter rights as the rest of the country? All exit polls do is to discourage voters in the behind time zones. Your candidate is willing by a large margin, don't bother voting. Your candidate is losing by a large margin, don't bother voting. BULLSHIT IT WHAT IT IS. Of course we have this bloviated bullshitter TrumpTard claiming a complete win, with one half of one state's returns counted. I still feel that complete blackout is necessary for fair reporting. First media that reports improperly, should then lose all governmental reporting capacity, for a period of one year.

Remember, even during the Civil War, people were able to vote in elections.

“In early voting data CNN highlighted, Republicans were turning out at just 32 percent of their 2024 first-day level. Democrats were at 73 percent. Unaffiliated voters were at 64 percent.

That’s not a gap; that’s a canyon.”

It sounds to me like, much as the Project 2025 crew flew to Budapest to study Orban, the Democrats who hope to rebuild our democracy after this disastrous failure of a fascist regime should spend some time in Budapest studying their restoration efforts. They have recklessly destroyed so much infrastructure and purged expertise and experience in our public servants. We will need a brigade of leaders focused on the nuts and bolts of rebuilding and holding corrupt officials to account. Clawing back the ill gotten gains of the Trump Syndicate will also be of paramount importance.

Fabulous news- a great article. Voters can now urge their family or friends to vote and be part of the blue wave. Political leaders on the state and local levels can urge voters to " vote and be part of the blue wave, throw Trump's cronies out". Thank you Hungary!! In the blue states, state leaders in the legislature- get off your butts and pass green energy requirements for all state and local government buildings. Combine the local elections with the even year midterm elections which will boost voter turnout among our hardest to reach supporters, save millions of tax dollars which should be used for universal breakfasts and lunches for school kids, and housing for the homeless, veterans first. It will also help democracy by resulting in more women and more MINORITIES being elected to local offices!!!
