Revealed: White House Held Panicked Meeting About the Midterms

Trump's Truth Social problem, the U.S. deports a sick baby and U2 pens a protest anthem to Renée Good

Good evening. I’m British Chris, and this is Raw America.

Tonight, four stories pull back the curtain on how this administration really operates. Trump’s inner circle is quietly panicking about the midterms and trying to manage a president they know they can’t control. The White House press secretary just accidentally admitted that Trump himself writes his social media posts, which resurfaces his racist video from last week. A two-month-old baby was deported to Mexico after falling seriously ill in ICE custody. And U2 dropped a song honoring Renée Good, who was executed by federal agents in Minneapolis.

But a quick ask before we get started: Raw America exists because billionaires are destroying real news. Can you count on CBS to give you the truth about a baby in ICE custody when they tried to kill a story about tortured detainees? If you value independent people-powered news, please upgrade your subscription today. We’re counting on you to help us fight back against the oligarchs. Independent media is America’s last line of defense.

Now let’s get into it.

The Midterm Panic Room

Behind the confident public posture of the Trump administration, there’s a great deal of private anxiety about November.

On Tuesday night, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles hosted a two-hour strategy session at Washington’s Capitol Hill Club featuring virtually every senior Trump administration official. The message from Wiles’ deputy, James Blair, was stark. Trump is unpredictable. He’s averse to data. He’ll say and do whatever he wants. Therefore, everyone else needs to compensate.

Blair also made a point that should concern anyone who’s been listening to the president’s economic pep talks: There’s no point talking about wages going up unless voters actually feel it. Sound familiar? That’s exactly the trap Joe Biden fell into by endlessly touting economic gains while millions of Americans couldn’t afford groceries.

GOP pollster Tony Fabrizio presented data showing the economy outranks even border security as a top concern for voters in targeted seats. He also urged the administration to lean into podcasts and social media rather than traditional press.

The fear underneath all of this is real. It’s rare for the president’s party to hold the House in midterms. The White House strategy, as Wiles herself described it, is essentially to put Trump on the ballot even though his name won’t be there, and to keep him focused on key messages.

Of course, trying to keep Donald Trump focused is, historically speaking, a bit like trying to keep the tide from coming in.

Trump’s Big Truth Social Problem

On Wednesday, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt committed a massive blunder, telling reporters that anything appearing on Trump’s Truth Social account should be taken as official administration policy. “Straight from the horse’s mouth,” in her words.

The timing of this declaration is staggering.

Just weeks ago, a White House official told The Independent that a staffer — not Trump — had “erroneously” posted a video showing Barack and Michelle Obama’s faces superimposed onto apes. The video prompted condemnation even from some of Trump’s most loyal congressional supporters.

Republicans publicly called for that unnamed staffer to be fired. Nobody has been.

And now Leavitt is telling the press that Truth Social posts come directly from the president.

So which is it? Either a staffer posted deeply racist content on the president’s personal account and still has their job, or the president posted it himself and the White House lied about it.

Access to Trump’s Truth Social is reportedly limited to a tight circle that includes longtime aide Dan Scavino and personal assistant Natalie Harp. But the White House has named no one, fired no one, and is now actively contradicting the story it told just days ago.

The Regime Deports a Sick Baby

This next story is difficult to read, and should be difficult to hear.

Baby Juan Nicolás is two months old. He was detained at the Dilley ICE detention center in South Texas along with his family. While in custody, he developed bronchitis and became unresponsive, requiring hospital treatment.

According to Congressman Joaquin Castro, who spoke with the family’s attorney, the boy was discharged from the hospital late Tuesday night. Shortly after, the entire family — the infant, his 16-month-old sister, and both parents — were deported to Mexico.

They were sent with $190. That was all the money they had in their commissary account.

Castro called the deportation “heinous” and said his office is working to locate the family and ensure their safety.

DHS, for its part, says the boy was taken to a hospital, was not admitted, and was deemed stable by staff.

But here’s the question that no official statement answers: why was a two-month-old infant in immigration detention at all? And why was a family with a recently hospitalized baby deported with $190 and nowhere to go?

U2 Writes an American Obituary

Finally, legendary rock band U2 released a surprise six-track EP on Ash Wednesday titled “Days of Ash.”

The opening track is a direct tribute to Renée Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who was shot and killed in Minneapolis on January 7th. Her death is the latest to inspire musicians who have been increasingly vocal about the regime’s brutal treatment of immigrants and its crackdown on dissent.

The band joins Bruce Springsteen, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, and others who have used their platforms to push back in recent months.

Whatever one thinks of rock stars wading into politics, Renée Good was a real person. She had three children. Now she’s gone.

And some of the most famous musicians on earth felt compelled to put her name in a song.

That’s not nothing.

You Help Us Speak Truth to Power

A president’s team trying to manage his unpredictability. A press secretary accidentally blowing up a cover story. A deported infant. And a band writing elegies for the dead.

This is the American moment we’re living in. Raw America exists to document it honestly, without corporate filters or billionaire interference. The regime and its pet oligarchs want to overwhelm you with disinformation to make it easier for them to manipulate you. Because they know the most dangerous thing to a fascist government is an educated and informed populace. But Raw America is committed to upholding democracy through fearless, independent media.
