Yeah yeah 🙄. Been watching this dance for a decade. He will be "close to" replacing McConnel until Aug 3, when it becomes too late to replace him before the mid terms.

Forgive me if I don't have a lot of faith in the governor who has been complaining for 3 weeks about McConnel’s disappearance 5-weeks ago, is “close to considering maybe thinking about possibly replacing McConnel” 4-business days before it's too late.

The same gov’t who ran out the clock for FOUR YEARS on holding someone who literally and credibly tried to overthrow the USA to account.

I think once we get into a new administration they need to pass a law about Congress and their absenteeism. We've had two members of Congress that for medical reasons disappeared for months on end. That should not be allowed. If any of us did that we would have been fired from our job within days of not reporting in and letting somebody know what was going on. It's something that needs to be addressed because it's inappropriate for members of Congress to disappear. If they had been Democrats Congress and the administration would have been up in arms. But because it's two Republicans did anybody really miss them? Yeah we did as did their constituents. We elect people to do their jobs and if they can't do them then they need to get someone in place that can do them.

Members of Congress should have to play an annual One v One match against an NBA player of their choice. If they cannot get a point before the NBA player reaches 100: immediate impeachment.

Thank you! There's way too long of an entrenched tradition of all talk no action Dems. We need to weed them out from the real kind!

There are too many Dems that are complicit and making money off trump. They haven’t go

um - maybe beshear is being cautious because of (fill in blank)? he’s a well liked democrat in a deep red state. so far, he’s stayed balanced - but a situation like this can upend the proverbial apple cart! poor andy! someone throw him a lifeline!

Like Merrick "Cautiousballs" Garland.

Personally, I don't believe 2026 is the time for caution. You don't remain cautious mid bear attack. You swing for the nose, you claw for the eyes. You kick for the groin. You fight for survival.

Don’t doubt it

It would be nice if he actually does it. Right now all he's doing is keeping himself in the news cycle talking about it. If he doesn't pull the trigger on this, he'll quickly find out how high the intolerance is for do nothing Democrats.

You mean BESHEAR might have grown balls and a spine?! RethugliCons would have already installed a new, evil, disgraceful and corrupt pig in McConnell’s place.

Beshear, Ditch Mitch Now!!! Let the damn chips lie where they fall 🫣🙄 The fact that it takes this long for people to act is what everyone’s Over 🙏🇺🇸🙏🌎

Do we know if Governor Beshear has a pulse?

“Honestly, if Beshear wanted to seize this issue, he’d make a commercial mimicking the hit job McConnell did to Dee Huddleston back in 1984,” the Democrat added. “It would go viral.”

This is stupid. “Going viral” isn’t the goal. The goal is to have a functioning government, not score social media points for lulz. Nobody cares about parodying a decades-old political ad. Mitch and/or his staff certainly wouldn’t care.

How about, instead of cheap pandering, somebody actually fucking does something of consequence for once?

If Andy Beshear really has aspirations to be president, doing nothing about McConnell’s absence now would completely blow his chances.

Time to Flip the Switch on Mitch the Glitch.

Dear Governor Beshear,

Be more Nike.

Just do it.

Cheers, ta, thanks 👍

RD Gerbig's avatar

This may seem stupidly simple, but why doesn't the Governor go visit Mitch in the hospital? He'll then be able to determine for himself what McConnell's status is!

Well he better get snappy!
