Trump's Cognitive Decline Takes Sharp Turn for the Worse

GOP Senator Says Trump Intrudes on His Sex Life, Americans Miss Biden, Tucker Carlson Embodies Collapse of Conservative Thought

Good evening, I’m British Chris, and this is Raw America.

Tonight, we’ve got four stories that paint a disturbing picture of a president in rapid decline. Trump’s sundowning is getting worse and starting earlier each day. A Republican senator admits Trump calls him during sex because the man apparently never sleeps. Three new polls show Americans now think Joe Biden was actually a better president than Trump. And a devastating new book reveals Tucker Carlson for what he really is: a resentful troll who helped destroy conservative intellectualism.

Corporate media will treat these as separate stories. We’re here to show you they’re all symptoms of the same crisis: a deteriorating leader propped up by a movement built on grievance rather than principle.

But first, I need you to hear this: Raw America exists because corporate-owned outlets won’t tell you these stories the way they need to be told. That’s why independent media matters now more than ever. If you value holding power accountable, please become a paid subscriber. Support the work that sustains democracy. Because without independent voices, the billionaires win.

Trump’s Sundowning Starts Earlier Every Day

California Governor Gavin Newsom just called out what we’re all seeing: Trump’s dementia symptoms are accelerating. At Tuesday’s White House “Champion of Coal” event, Trump slurred his words trying to say “undisputed,” then completely lost his train of thought and had to ask House Speaker Johnson when information had “first come out.”

Newsom posted the clip with a perfect caption: “The sundowning starts earlier every day.”

For the unfamiliar, sundowning is a classic dementia symptom where patients experience confusion, anxiety, and agitation, typically starting in late afternoon. But Trump’s episodes are now happening in the morning—a clear sign of progression.

The White House denies everything, of course. They claim Trump is in “perfect health,” except for chronic venous insufficiency that causes bruising we keep seeing. But watch the video yourself. This isn’t about politics—it’s about basic cognitive function.

Republican Senator: Trump Interrupts My Sex Life

Speaking of sleep deprivation, Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) just revealed why Trump’s brain might be breaking down: the man apparently never sleeps, and he expects everyone else to be available 24/7.

During an interview with MAGA influencer Benny Johnson—with Mullin’s wife in the studio—the Oklahoma Republican admitted Trump regularly calls him during intimate moments.

“He’s interrupted a few things too, I gotta be honest with you... Not always sleeping,” Mullin said. “Sometimes I have to catch my breath first. We’re married. It happens.”

Mullin claims Trump only sleeps five minutes a day, then wakes up supposedly refreshed. But chronic sleep deprivation causes exactly the cognitive decline we’re witnessing: slurred speech, confusion, emotional instability.

The fact that Trump thinks it’s appropriate to call senators during their private time reveals someone whose judgment is severely compromised.

Americans Now Prefer Biden

Here’s the most damning evidence that Trump’s decline isn’t just visible to his critics—it’s destroying his presidency. Three new polls show Americans now say Joe Biden did a better job as president than Trump.

Let that percolate for a minute. Biden, whose unpopularity forced Democrats to replace him, is now polling better than the sitting president.

Harvard CAPS/Harris found 51% say Trump is doing worse than Biden. YouGov/Economist put it at 46% to 40%. Even Trump-friendly Rasmussen found 48% say Biden did better versus 40% for Trump.

One year into his second term, Trump has squandered virtually every advantage that won him the presidency. His signature issue, immigration, is now a liability, with 49% strongly disapproving after ICE killed two American citizens in Minnesota.

Young voters have cratered from a +9 approval at his inauguration to -42 today. That’s a 51-point swing in twelve months.

How Tucker Carlson Destroyed Conservative Intellectualism

Lastly, a devastating new book exposes how we got here. “Hated by All the Right People” by Jason Zengerle reveals Tucker Carlson as the perfect symbol of conservatism’s intellectual collapse: a resentful opportunist who chose provocation over principle.

The book destroys the myth that Carlson is some kind of serious thinker. In college, when asked if an unarmed black woman killed by police deserved to die, Carlson raised his hand: not because he believed it, but purely to provoke liberal classmates. As Zengerle writes, Carlson isn’t really a conservative, “he’s a troll.” Even Tom DeLay complained that Carlson was “not a real Republican.”

This explains how someone who criticized Trump in 2016 ended up at Mar-a-Lago by 2024. Carlson doesn’t have principles. His career has been fueled by resentment at missing the elite tier: Trinity instead of Harvard, Arkansas newspapers instead of prestigious internships. That’s exactly what Trump’s movement rewards: performative outrage from people who feel left out.

The Pattern Is Clear

These aren’t separate stories—they’re symptoms of a movement built on grievance rather than governance. A declining president enabled by media that chose trolling over truth, finally being rejected by Americans who see through the performance.

We’re watching both a presidency and a movement collapse in real time. Corporate outlets won’t say it plainly. Independent outlets like Raw America exist because you demand better.
